Egyptian Drumming in Gloucestershire

Helen Roberts is holding the first in a series of Egyptian drum workshops for dancers on Saturday 26 September at Ruardean Memorial Hall in the Forest of Dean.

By the end of the workshop you will have the tools to enable you to listen to your Egyptian music and identify some of the most popular rhythms AND you will also know which dance moves are most appropriate for each rhythm.

25% of the workshop will be devoted to the rhythms (listening, clapping, drumming – bring a drum if you have one) and 75% dancing to the rhythms. Notes will be provided.

The workshop runs from 1.30 till 4.30pm and costs £15 - for insurance reasons no children under 14 are allowed in the room.
