E.coli alert after Dance Camp Wales

Organisers of Dance Camp Wales in Pembrokeshire are trying to contact around 650 people who attended this year's event after two girls fell ill with E.coli.

An 11-year-old from the West Midlands was taken to hospital. A seven-year-old from Denbighshire is home recovering.

The exact source of the outbreak hasn't been identified, but both girls had attended Dance Camp Wales in Cresselly which ran from July 29 to August 9.

Environmental health officials are sending letters, emails and phoning those for who they have contact details, and appeals are also being posted on Facebook to reach anyone they can't contact directly.

People who attended and are experiencing symptoms such as diarrhoea and stomach cramps should contact their doctor for medical advice.

They're also asked to contact Pembrokeshire Council's public protection department on 01437 764551 or email foodsafety @ pembrokeshire.gov.uk
