Volunteers wanted for Newport event

Message from Em Chuter:

"Do you consider yourself an expert in a certain style of bellydance? Do you have good performance skill as well as deep background knowledge? Do you have an upcoming workshop or class to promote? Then this is for you!

"For my summer event (Newport, date TBA) I am looking for volunteers to perform short pieces in a certain style – consider gypsy, tribal, saiidi, classical Egyptian, ghawaazee etc etc – followed up with an interactive talk on the style – its background, history, culture, costuming, and distinguishing features of the dance itself. Also perhaps how it has evolved into modern day bellydance / other dance styles?

"While this should in the main be a ‘tutorial’ session you can of course use it to your own ends if you happen to be teaching in that style and would like to attract more students, or if you have a related event (e.g. a workshop) to promote!

"I will be running these ‘sessions’ throughout the afternoon of the event, and there will also be opportunities to perform in the evening show for those running tutorials. Anyone interested please contact me on the details below.

"I am also inviting traders, caterers and massage / beauty therapists to express interest in running trade stalls at the event. For further details / pitch fees please contact me on the details below.

"Please note that at this stage I am not taking names for performances in the evening show. Further details will follow once the event has matured.

"Kind regards to all – keep your eyes peeled for more info on this event!
